Well, hello! My name is Jeremy Cioara; welcome to my corner of Network World's Cisco Subnet for the month of May! Before I get to blogging, I'd like to give you a brief introduction, then talk about my purpose here.
As for me, I started in the technology world running a BBS on my Commodore Amiga 1000 and a 2400 baud modem. I still hear the sounds of that bad-boy Practical Peripherals external modem (WITH LCD display, mind you) playing in my mind from time to time. Ah...the days...okay, wipe away the tears. Somewhere about 12 years ago, I got into the realm of training...and found that I loved it! For about the last 8 years or so, I've been teaching primarily Cisco technology. Right now, I live in the e-learning realm on CBTNuggets.com, the classroom realm at Interface Technical Training, and in the blogosphere at CiscoBlog.com . So...ehh...blah blah blah - <insert other interesting information about Jeremy here> blah blah blah.
I'm telling ya...writing introductions about yourself is brutal...try it sometime. So, you'll get to know me more as I blog away. ;o)
So, that brings me to my purpose here. Network World invited me to blog for them while they promote my latest book CCNA Practice Questions, 3rd Edition. So, here's my vision: I'd like to make this section of Network World my "CCNA Prep CENTRAL." Over the month of May, I'm going to create the ultimate CCNA study resource site so when one of my students ask me, "What's the best way to study for the CCNA?" I can give them this URL and they'll have everything they need.
So - jot down this link! If you're preparing for the CCNA (or CCENT), it will definitely be of use to you! Even if you're not preparing for the CCNA, I'm sure you'll get a ton of good info from here.
So, here we go!
Jeremy D. Cioara, CCIE No. 11727, is the owner of AdTEC Networks, an IT consulting firm. Jeremy also teaches on topics ranging from Cisco certification to IP telephony. Jeremy is also the author of books and official curriculums.
We've got 15 copies of his new book CCNA Practice Questions (Exam 640-802), 3rd Edition, up for grabs. Go here for details on how to win a copy. Go here for a sneak peek of a chapter.

Hey!
Jermey,
It is great to hear that you will be providing some insight for us on the CCNA exams. I've watched some of your CBT Nuggets videos and they are by far the best CCNA prep material out there. Your explanation of the concepts, real-life scenarios, and the humor you pepper throughout the series is awesome. I just got wind of this blog, but look forward to looking through what you have written so far. Thanks.
