It all about Leadership and Communication - not training

The skill assessment needs to occur at the middle management level. Recent graduates with degrees in computer science or certification in Cisco, Microsoft, or Security need to arrive at a company with the belief that there are strong mentors. There is a lack of leadership in companies. The new graduate arrives ready to do her part only to find that there is no training budget, no career path, and no one there with a vision for the staff. There is also no communicated vision for the company. A new arrival should understand the company’s direction and understand how the job he performs contributes to the bottom line.
