I used to use Nextel/Sprint. Had bad service and when they stopped providing a path for business user phones (ie Windows Mobile) that did it for me.... Since then I have joined AT&T which has AWESOME service.. they are not kidding about the 5bars and I now have an Tilt and IPhone....

That's because
That's becaseu they have lousy cuistomer serive and cannot get their billing straight
Just another sheep in the flock!
I thought I was somehow special, deciding to leave Nextel (Sprint) because of an insulting level of customer service. Now I see that I'm not so special, just one of the 1.1 million sheep that jumped off (and gladly, too)!
Sprint Nextel Losses
I still have Sprint and like it. I find their customer service very good. And they are cheaper than some other providers.
Ex-employee
Yes, Sprint KNOWS they have bad customer service, and they were working with IBM to improve it. The merger was simply too horrible to be overcome - neither the technologies nor the people could be combined or leveraged. A spin-off of the Nextel resources would be better than keeping the status quo.
This is not a wonder to me
I had to deal with their Customer Service three times in the past 45 days. Each time was totally fustrating. I hung up angry and disgusted on every call. After the third call I thanked them for convincing me to find a new Cell Service and canceled Sprint!
It does not take a rocket scientist...
to see why. Their arrogant poor service sent me away, and they would not even let me go, but billed me, and put me on collection for months after trying to quit them. I had to pay to cancel again, and they tried it again, but this time I recorded the call, and smacked them back with it. Now I am FREE! I will NEVER EVER buy sprint again!
Billing
I had been a Sprint customer for more than 7 years and recently left because they could not get their billing system figured out. My company has met face to face with them and over multiple conference calls. They promised to fix the issues and after more than 6 months they still were unable. I would have stayed if not for our chronic billing issues.
Poor service
I had to contact them 3 times to get options taken off my plan... After every billing cycle they'd re-instate them and try to charge me again. I finally made the switch.
Bad Customer Service haunts Sprint
Bad customer service caused me to cancel Sprint. I passed along my bad experiences to others; I'm sure everyone else did (and does). Bound to catch up to them, the short-sighted idiots.
Today was my freedom from Sprint
I was a Nextel customer since 1997 and then sprint in 2000. I watched the downward spiral of service and increase in cost of the service. I am finally free, Hello AT&T and a sleek, new iPhone!
