Why not to check sth else?
Why not to check other systems like Ubuntu Linux? Check what it offers at www.ubuntustory.com
Dim view indeed
Not that unusual. Microsoft's PR department has been speculating out loud that no one else in the world can program to the quality standard of Microsoft Engineers. Thats their entire arguement why Windows is superior to Linux. They admit someone else can do the same job as them, for free, and they are openly endorsing open-source software and inviting h4x0rz... more h4x0rz at any rate.
Re: Dim View Indeed
Anonymous #1 Quoted Microsoft: "No one else in the world can program to the quality standard of Microsoft Engineers".
Actually completely true. Problem is Microsoft's standard is: If it doesn't completely suck release it anyway.

It's 100% a MS problem
It's 100% a MS problem. It's MS's responsibility to make sure their OS loads the correct drivers. HP followed MS's specs to the letter.
