Cisco IP phone repair

Received the following Cisco Repair request:
| I have a Cisco 7970 IP Phone fully functional but LCD screen is broken.
What would be the best way to get this repaired? Where can I buy a spare LCD display for this phone? Your response would help me in a great way to decide on to buy a new phone or get this reapired. |

Broken LCD screens are the main Cisco IP Phone repair problem that normally can't be corrected.
BradReese.Com has so far been unable to source the necessary LCD screens, as Cisco does not make them available.
Cisco wants you to buy a brand new phone!
