Wow. A hiring manager that actually wants "intellectually curious, good problem-solvers and who can wear different hats".
Since my last contract was canceled 6 weeks ago, I've been trying to find such a manager. I keep running into the "you don't have this direct experience", "you haven't worked on model xyz". Ability to wear multiple hats, analyze and solve problems is meaningless to these people.
