Class of '08 to principal: 'Let's call it a wrap'

It's the principal of the thing

MySpace generation, yes. Camera phones at the ready, yes. But, when it came time to actually execute their farewell salute to Principal Dan Costello, the Killingly High School Class of 2008 went decidedly low-tech -- as in plastic wrap and post-it notes.

As you can see, the results are a classic. (The photo started making the rounds yesterday and landed here via a friend of Costello's who works at Network World.)

This prank was a conspiracy, the principal (himself a blogger) tells me in an e-mail.

"I was in a meeting when one of the secretaries burst into my office and said, 'Dan, there is a fight in the parking lot!' So I raced out to there and immediately saw my car, but I was really looking for some fighting students. When I noticed all the students and teachers standing around laughing at me, I finally caught on."

Located in Danielson, Conn., Killingly High School has 800 students and a graduating class of 175.

So how long did it take to unwrap the car?

"Fortunately, not too long. I was aided by a few sophomores ... but all they talked about was how they were going to, do a much better prank when they were seniors. It's a little disturbing to think that they have already begun planning."

The students at my school have a tradition of a Senior Prank. I thought it was all in good fun and made a lot of people smile.

It's pretty neat to have the item blogged by a stranger. Hope you all enjoyed it!

Senior pranks are the best.
I know one class at my school gutted a VW beetle and hoisted it ontop of the school.

Good times.

There is a uniform policy at my school so what we did for out grad prank was hire some strippers.. well actually they were whores, we called legit stripper places but they wouldn't do a school.
So anyways, we got 5 whores and dressed them up in our school uniforms (donated by some willing accomplices who won't need them anymore, since we're graduating) and we got them to start stripping in the middle of one of our sort of farewell assemblies. It wasn't like the graduation ceremony or anything super serious like that, but it still caused a pretty huge fuss.
So we got them to strip down, run around the auditorium and then run outside. People were like screaming and the teachers and shit were speechless, a couple were laughing tho. We had the girls' other clothes stashed outside, and we met up with them after.
Anyways we all got off scott free and the girls (who were only like 20-21) thought it was a riot. It was pretty expensive, but there was like 12 of us in on it.
I hope nobody starts bragging about it, cuz then we mite get caught :S

Old principal?

Randomly stumbled on this site and saw the principal's name. Turns out he's my old Middle School principal. Brillian yet simple prank, normal for costello to accept it. :]

An old gag, but a fun one :-)

Here's where they probably got the idea from:
