It would seem to me that a vulnerability report from nessus would perform a different means to the exact same end, albeit for a lot cheap. plus, nessus won't be telling you about voodoo flash oh-day vulnerabilities like Symantec Despite did, most likely putting their customers in a tizzy. also, symantec has been notorious for posting ridculus levels of detail on their blog, some of which have been able to giv attackers enough information in order to write exploits.
