"Normal" people but executives? Maybe I know wrong kind of executives but (anytime) when they get mail, e-mail, whatever which has any legal, contractual, etc problems, they tell the secretary to contact the lawyers (or other specialists) and thank you, what's next on my plate today? Assuming that the secretary who filters for them even bothers them with something as that before it is processed by or with specialists?
Yes, phishing is annoying and can be dangerous! They are getting more sophisticated and problematic to users. Part of (understandable but not acceptable) problem is that corporations are more worried protecting themselves than customers. The problem is like if you report someone using their "intellectual property", they react very fast and aggressively, report an attack against their user - most often there is no reaction? Maybe it is a cost and benefit issue but it definitely doesn't help the big picture and on long run starts having an effect to their business, and the trust is a funny thing, once lost even without the fault of your own, it is difficult to get back. We did studies, research, models, etc of this a long time ago and over years they were really showing that if you don't protect both yourself and customers means problems in business sooner or later.
