Apple User Resents Missing iPhone Features

Not everyone's thrilled with the new iPhone 3G announcement this week. After sifting through many comments by Apple fans who just wanted to call names or dismiss a valid viewpoint, I thought this Apple fan was pretty straight up and said it well.

"...I would also hate to spend hundreds to downgrade from my current LG flip phone in any way. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is of course more advanced in ways scarcely imaginable back when I bought the LG in 2004. But at least the hideously obsolete phone can send pics and video. I don't think even iPhone 2.0 will have these (now quite common) features. It will be able to "geotag" a picture with the exact location of where the user was standing when he took it using a signal from outer-friggin space, but it still won't be able to send that picture to another person's mobile phone?

I am confused... I love Apple's products dearly (I have long since disavowed PC's), but I do so very much resent being goaded by their planned obsolescence when it involves features that have been available for over four years in just about every mobile phone with a camera."

Sometimes even Apple lovers recognize that Apple isn't delivering features many phones have had in much more primitive devices for several years. That can be frustrating for some users, but the iPhone certainly brings more new innovations.

And BTW, thanks to everyone who have commented on my iPhone 3G blog posts. All the sophomoric posts by name calling trolls aside, I appreciate everyone taking the time to comment, whether to strongly disagree with me or see the validity in the viewpoints I've brought to light about the iPhone 3G. Thanks for sharing your views!
