Fast Firefox

I sure noticed the speed difference, and not just because i cleared out the cache and cookies when I upgraded. It is loading pages fairly instantly. It feels like my cable provider just added more speed to my connection

safari's actually a really nice browser.
It's simple and faster than firefox 2.

I have been waiting for this, a long, long time ago, it works great, 2 of my utilities are not working, bu t that's fine, got some new ones. Mozilla 2 looks so 1908 in 2008.good job

"SAFARI LICKS", you're clueless

Ummmm, clueless wonder, those numbers are based on ussage, not installs.

Awesome

It's 10 times faster than IE7. Hey Uncle Bill, lets spend some of that money on better software!

I Like It But...

I like it but I of course failed to check on the status of various add-on's that I use; deskCut and TabMix Plus. Upon installation they were disabled. Fortunately, TabMix Plus was updated TODAY and I was able to find a substitute for deskCut.

Overall I am very pleased with the browser and the memory footprint is much smaller.

Tab Mix Plus should be firefox core by now.

I can't live without tab mix plus. The good news is the latest dev. build on the developer's site does work with FF3 quite nicely.

firefox vs ie vs opera

0

I use opera and firefox on my pc. Opera has many innovations that reduce typing - speed dials, key sequences. Has firefox incorporated any of these. Also on the mobile I have used minimo, pocket ie and opera mobile. Pocket ie is the best of this bunch, minimo is a memory pig. Opera mobile has a nice interface but its functionality is somewhat limited. I do get annoyed by how much pocket ie crashes.
