Asus forgot that what made them a big hit was its ridiculously low price. Newer models improved the laptop but have lost its most likeable feature -- it's price.

Price
So Asus wowed the world with an amazingly cheap laptop, and some people moaned that the screen wasn't large enough, and it needed more memory.
So Asus created a new version with larger screen, and more memory (which would of course make it more expensive),and people complained that it was too expensive!
You can't win!
Don't forget the old model is still available, and they've even reduced the price! If the 901 is too expensive, buy the 701. If the screen of the 701 is too small, buy the 901!
