Two Observations

A former resident of Colorado and now living in Jersey County IL, the services provided by Quest and other Western communications vendors far exceeds those offered in the Mid-West and East. Not sure of the reasons, but living in Colorado, in the mountains, and living in the booneys in IL is a world of difference.

On the bandwidth question and Fair Usage Policies (FUP). When will the telecom think providers realize businesses and campus environments will require 1Gb and higher internet access tomorrow.

The home will be provisioned to use 10Mb and higher, unlimited. For now, in my new neck of the woods, 1.5 Mb over a very latency burdened satilite link is the best a telcom can offer me, or anyone else in the area. Most of these service providers have an FUP the varies from 500MB per day to 1.7GB a month. Those on the 500MB per day limit are feeling a lot of pain.
