Cisco is making progress with ACE, but still lacks many of the robust application features that F5 and Citrix Netscaler possess. F5 and Citrix also just came out with larger scale devices that have much higher end performance than Cisco's top-end ACE product. It seems Cisco finally caught on that this is the "Application" Networking space, but it seems they are too late and will always be a distant third place finisher when it comes to functionality.
