stop fear mongering. don should be filing complaints with the ftc instead of telling you these fairy tales. is there a lack of personal privacy in the u.s.; yes, but most of what don states is illegal and not the rule! report specific claims to the feds or stop scaring everyone with stories you 'heard about' but have no first hand knowledge of!

bull hockey, who are you working for???
You sound just like a person working for a collector of some kind. As an IT profesional for over 20 years, his fears are more than well founded. If you had a clue what has been avaiable online for years maybe you'd be sounding alarms as well. Yes there are "supposed" to controls in place... that's just CYA, there never has been much control... get real, its a way of life now. Best to figure any and everything you type is accessable to anyone, otherwise give up your conputer.
