Apple gives a guy's Apple ID to a stranger ... because he asked

Marko Karppinen writes: "I tried to log in to Apple Developer Connection this morning to find out that my password had been changed and the email associated with my account was now a yahoo.com address that wasn't mine. Luckily, my 'security question' was still the same, so I was able to reset the password and email address back."

Security question? That would seem to indicate there was a security system involved here, but clearly that's not the case.

Not only did the name and address associated with my Apple ID change to someone else, when I called Apple I found out the name and address associated with my serial number number had also changed to the same name and address.

By the way they said the apple id wasn't linked??? I guess someone change this in 2 spots.

After a lot of phone time with customer service they said it was human error.
