More iPhone madness is about to descend upon the world this Friday when Apple unleashes the iPhone 3G. Would-be and well-indoctrinated Apple lemmings will be lining up to sign away their freedoms just to get the latest selection of crack coming off the Apple production lines. The lemmings' line is sure to be long, so be sure to get there early. Apple lemmings are a passionate bunch and, while typically very passive, they can turn aggressive when threatened by competing products or others with greater ambitions for better products. The Apple reality-distortion field will be in full effect, so the rest of us who haven't drunk the Apple Kool-aid will notice a strong disturbance and sudden unbalance in the Force.
I couldn't missed this chance to write a sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek post about Friday's iPhone 3G release. Have fun with your new GPS and (likely) Apple Store applications on your iThingies. We've been doing those things on our BlackBerrys and Windows Mobile phones for years.

Why the contempt?
How many people lined up to buy Cobia? How many people even just tried it? I guess you didn't indoctrinate enough folks. Oh well, on to bigger things.
Why the contempt for a successful company? Is it jealousy?
