The 6500 has a development roadmap to 2012

Mark Lewis, a blogger on Cisco Subnet took a look at the whole death-of-the-6500 issue a few weeks ago (what this article refers to as the Big Bang). He discovered that Cisco has development plans for the 6500 through 2012. He also concluded that the Nexus and 6500 were complimentary, not direct rivals.
