New site highlights free online shipping options

While more people head online for purchases because of rising gas prices, getting the goods from the warehouse to your door still requires shipping, and those costs are expected to go up as FedEx and UPS deal with rising energy costs as well.

Still, many e-commerce sites offer free shipping on some purchases, and a new Web site has launched that lets consumers find specific items that offer free shipping. The site, called FreeShippingOn.com, includes a search bar for items on eBay and Amazon.com, but it also lists locations for coupons for free shipping from several other e-tailers.

True, most of the free shipping offers require purchases over a certain dollar amount, but if you're spending a lot online anyway, you might as well get free shipping if you can. Checking this site out first for any good offers is a good start.
