The winner of a free Cisco training course worth up to $3,995, courtesy of Global Knowledge, is Cathy Kozak, who in her competition entry signed herself as a network plumber. Cathy has been a network analyst since 2000 for the College of Science at San Jose State University. Cathy says: "The part of the network I'm responsible for is fairly simple; it consists of 50 switches serving 20 VLANs. All of this sits behind our 6500 router and firewall that acts as the boundary between the College and the campus backbone."

Cathy says she's deciding whether to take the Troubleshooting Cisco Networks course or the Advanced Cisco Campus Switching course. "Whatever I decide on, I'm thrilled to have this opportunity," Cathy says.

Congratulations to all the winners. Be sure to check out this month's cool books and training giveaways and I could be writing about you as a winner!
