Route 66 Casino is deploying Cisco's Physical Security gear to centralize surveillance, says the gambling
facility. Casino execs at any of the three associated locations can log into the Cisco equipment to get a real-time view of any part of any facility, from any angle using pan-tilt-zoom cameras. Managers can also determine which of the casino and hotel employees have access to the various elements of the security, according to the Cisco's press release. The new setup is a far cry from its previous security surveillance which relied on videocassette recorders and VHS tapes.
