We have a networking encyclopedia, which I've cobbled together from all of the explanatory articles we run (not to toot our own horn, but we run quite a few). But, really, who knows networking better than you guys? So the other day, when I stumbled across some directions for building a wiki out of Drupal - the software we use for our community stuff - I figured I'd try converting the encyclopedia into wiki format.
That way, folks could easily write their own definitions - or update/expand existing definitions - and create a far more useful resource.
Right now, it's sort of in pre-alpha stage - I have the basic functionality working, but I need to test and configure it some more and figure out how to import the existing definitions (they're in a MySQL database, Drupal uses a MySQL database, shouldn't be too hard to write a SQL dump/import file, no?). But I'll keep you posted (and in the meantime, if there are any definitions, you'd like to see added, let me know).
Plus, well, I admit it: I just like saying "wiki wiki wiki ..."
