My hope is that The Blue Gene/P Supercomputer can model human aging rates under conditions of calorie restriction that effectively slow the rate of basal metabolism. Then we can get a quantified lifespan for human beings. The extrapolations from animal studies suggest the human lifespan potential is currently 150 to 180 years. Until someone actually lives that long though, the extrapolations are purely theoretical. Learn more on this subject at www.lifeextensionbooks.net
