Agito Networks - Names New CEO Amit Chawla

Enterprise fixed-mobile convergence platform vendor and Cisco technology partner - Agito Networks - Monday announced the appointment of Amit Chawla as its new CEO. On Dec. 2 yours truly will be recording a podcast interview with Mr. Chawla for Network World's Cisco News and Reviews podcast series. Background on Mr. Chawla:

Most recently, Mr. Chawla served as the Executive Vice President of Global Business Units for Veraz Networks, a provider of application, control, and bandwidth optimization products. Veraz Networks was formed in 2003 following the merger of ECI Telecom’s NGTS Division with NexVerse Networks, where Mr. Chawla served as CEO. Previously, Mr. Chawla had been Vice President of Portfolio Management at Nortel Networks, where he spent 13 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of London, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
