Cisco engineers publish wireless dictionary

Cisco wants to write the wireless book. Well, two Cisco employees do anyway. Joel Barrett, a senior-level wireless networking expert; and Vinay Saini, a software/QA engineer within Cisco's Wireless Networking Business Unit have written a dictionary of wireless terms and acronyms for Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP), which provides wireless LAN certification. The dictionary covers Wi-Fi and frequently used wireless terms and provides coverage of all CWNP exam terms and acronyms, according to CWNP.

The dictionary will be available for purchase beginning Dec. 3, at the CWNP site.

"For the techie you think has everything, the dictionary will be a great stocking stuffer," said Devin Akin, chief technology officer of CWNP.
