FlexTK Ultimate: Don’t just manage files on your drive…take control of them

More control of your network is never a bad thing. Some tools provide the means of managing files but somehow they seem to be missing something. You can never seem to put your finger on it but you know it is not there. That something is complete control!

As I.T. pros we need to know what is on that drive, how much space it is taking and is the drive running efficiently. FlexTK Ultimate allows us to do that and so much more. Here is a tool that can classify, categorize (see figure 1), create rules based search and organize files based upon rules. Synchronize, perform multi stream copies, duplicate search and removal, as well as file delete/data wiping operations.

If that is not enough FlexTK Ultimate has a cleanup tool, disk monitoring and additional add-ins you can install for free with the full licensed version. The ability to quickly see the drive status (see figure 2), create and manage disk bookmarks and find hidden content (great for those IT shops where users know how to create hidden folders on their drives to hide all those MP3 files).

Flexsense offers three versions: Express, Professional and Ultimate, FlexTK Ultimate is relatively inexpensive for the power and control it delivers. You can download the evaluation copy from their website here.
