Jimmy Ray Purser is a hacker, a field engineer for Cisco and a Cisco Subnet blogger. He's compiled a list of 10 coolest hacking moments in 2008, which include Apple quietly recommending antivirus software for Macs (hey, consider that a compliment that hackers are taking notice), the cracking of WPA, and drive-by attacks with Java. What moments are on your list?

All I can say as I shake my head in disgust is REALLY???

You sighted stealing laptops over China reselling bugged, fake Cisco gear... to the military!?

You sighted cracking WPA over having your customer portal passwords compromised?

Your IOS source code is published on the Internet and you are laughing at Mac needing some anti-virus?

Do you do anything more than toe the company line? With the bright ($60Bil market) future of blade servers, I am sure Cisco will come out of this market recession unscathed. Did you pick up on the sarcasm? Stepping on alliance partners to make a buck always ends badly. Ask SGI or Fulcrum. Honestly and Introspection are honored in this industry, not this garbage. If I were you, I'd start drinking heavily now. You're in a downward spiral. Your net income was over $8Bil last year, you are at $2Bil now. While not in the negative, it is 25% of what you did last year. Hmm, do I smell 75% downsize coming? Fly right or you will be gone just like the others who were "To big to fail".
