We've received lots of cheerful holiday cards at Network World, but only one poem about cloud computing, so seemed worth sharing with you all:
Cloud Santa of Yule 2.0
By Andrew Barnes, senior VP of corporate development for Neverfail
2008 was quite the year
Fannie, Freddie, and ample fear
Stocks crashed and foreclosures a plenty
With people holding on to every last penny
But it's almost over and if there's one thing to say
It's that Cloud Computing is here to stay
Santa may not deliver all the toys we want this year
But the Santa in the 'Clouds' never fails to bring us cheer
On the North Pole, things can go astray
A reindeer won't fly, or an elf loses his way
But Cloud Santa is hardy, strong and brilliant
Flexible, On Demand, and Ever Resilient
Everyone gets their gifts, whether you've been good or bad
Even in times of disaster, for him you are always glad
High Availability and end user value never in doubt
So kick back, relax, with a glass of holiday stout
Be merry, be well and never fret
Cloud Santa always delivers, you can surely bet
No need to search for other solutions or gear
So let's raise a glass to Yule 2.0 and the New Year!
