While meeting with a few CIO’s in a summit over the holiday something came to me, why can’t someone fully encrypt a Micro SD Card or SD Card? You would think that if someone could do this, mass sell it at Best Buy it would be a hit. We all know you can use certain programs on windows and the blackberry to encrypt certain files. But even with that there have been horror stories of lost files and problems.

The problem is with personal and business users who are carrying these huge SD and Micro SD Cards. The cellular phone you have does not have that much memory so you have to use a card, that the problem. Lose the phone and you lose all the data you have on the card.

I am really surprised that this has not been a bigger security issues and talked about.

I did not make it to CES this year, so if anyone can give us an update on this from CES that would be great.
