Perhaps with Cisco's mantra of visual networking in mind, the innovations lab of network performance measuring vendor Plixer International recently made available for your personal review, 2 new ways of viewing Cisco NetFlow data:
1. The Matrix
Plixer's Matrix is intended to be a Top Hosts view. Cisco NetFlow users can click hosts to view the other hosts that are connecting to the selected host (green) or the hosts that the selected host is connecting to (blue). If you feel like taking a turn on the Wheel of Fortune, go ahead and grab the circle in the center and give it a spin.
Plixer's Flock View is a replayer of the Top 10 Destination Hosts (white circles) and the corresponding Top 5 Source Hosts (yellow circles) sending data to each of the Top 10 Destinations. Grab the dots and slam them into each other.
What's your opinion, have the labs at Plixer succeeded at creating 2 new unique ways to visualize Cisco NetFlow data?
