Wi-Fi market down, except for 802.11n

Wireless LAN products hit a skid

Dell'Oro Group is reporting the first year-over-year drop in revenue for Wi-Fi gear. The wireless LAN market shrank 11% in the first quarter of 2009, compared to the same period in 2008.

The one bright spot was 11n equipment, a newer and higher-speed wireless technology that saw an increase of 4%. Read the full story here.
