Survey looks for needs, plans of Cisco WAAS, WAN optimization users

NetForecast query attempts to influence direction if products and services

By Cisco Subnet on Fri, 06/26/09 - 12:52pm.

Network World bloggers Peter Sevcik and Rebecca Wetzel, consultants at application performance advisor NetForecast, are surveying WAN optimization users -- including users of Cisco's WAAS appliance -- about their WAN optimization needs, plans, and preferences. NetForecast plans to include the survey results in upcoming App Performance View blogs.

The survey will attempt to give readers the opportunity to influence the direction of future products and services.  The survey can be found here

We wonder if Cisco itself will respond to the survey. There's some healthy debate underway on whether Cisco feels WAAS is ready to deploy globally in its own network.

Perhaps Cisco CIO Rebecca Jacoby can better guide WAAS product developers by sharing her own needs and plans and preferences through the survey.

Jim you can put the healthy debate to rest. Cisco is using WAAS and we have posted on our progress about it, both on Cisco.com and on our blog.

We appreciate the opportunity to have our customers participate in the survey and have invited them to do so.
