Google launches YouTube site to teach citizens how to become journalists

Videos from experts try to help would-be broadcasters capture important news for YouTube

One of the more interesting phenomena created by the Internet is citizen journalism. And no where is it more apparent than on YouTube where anyone can upload a video documenting just about anything. To that end, Google has launched a site called YouTube Reporter' Center which hopes to train average citizens on how to report the news.

The site features videos from big name broadcasters, bloggers and newspaper journalists offering how-to tips on everything from conducting an interview to how to fact-check a story. In addition to training regular Joes to become journalists, the site invites professional journalists to upload their own training tips.
