Cisco's Web site reportedly suffered a 1 to 2 hour outage today while content was being updated. According to The Register, attempts to access the site at 3pm London time -- 10am EST -- were met with an error message:
"An error occurred while processing your request. Reference #97.320dd58.1249393806.999942"
Attempts to access the site by Cisco Subnet at 9am EST were unsuccessful as well. Cisco Subnet experienced approximately 40 minutes of service interruption from cisco.com.
A Cisco representative in the UK said it was being updated, according to The Register.
All systems seem to be go now, but The Register raises a valid point: Cisco did not set a good example for business continuity during this period.
