Winners of the August Cisco Subnet giveaways
One winner of free Cisco training; 15 winners of Cisco Press books

The August contests have closed and the winners have been selected and contacted. We are pleased to announce that Shane Harvey, a customer support engineer (pictured), has won the grand prize. He won a free Cisco training course from Global Knowledge. He correctly answered the trivia question by explaining that a 'Weighted tail drop" is a congestion avoidance mechanism used on Cisco's 2960/2970/3560/3750 switch family.
The following 15 readers won a copy of guest blogger's Ryan Trost's hot selling book, Practical Intrusion Analysis: Prevention and Detection for the Twenty-First Century. (If you haven't had a chance yet to read the free chapter from Trost's book, or read his great blog, we encourage you to check them both out now.
