Looks like Engadget's inside sources at Best Buy have struck again. Earlier this week, they leaked information on a possible new slide-screen Flip camcorder from Cisco, the first major redesign of the device since Cisco acquired Flip maker Pure Digital a year ago.
Now, they have apparently let Engadget in on the model name, price and release date - S1240W, $280, April 18. And while unable to confirm it for sure, the blog says it looks like the 'Slide HD' version they wrote about initially.
Nice for consumers, but for enterprises? Cisco sees Flip as a way for company executives and employees to communicate directives or share ideas, and to use the same devices they use personally to work remotely.
