A Small Error

By Mark Gibbs on Fri, 06/30/06 - 5:19pm.

According to Physics News Update: "CORRECTION. We were off by 39 orders of magnitude: in PNU 775, the [Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider] peak energy density achieved in high energy collisions is 15 GeV per cubic-femtometer, not per cubic centimeter."

39 orders of magnitude is the difference in volume between the sun and a grain of sand. Cool.
