B is for Botnets

I.T. Jinglehopper and his sidekick Jackson explain what botnets are, for your kids' amusement.

By Julie Bort on Thu, 07/29/10 - 6:47pm.

Today Our Cool Tools Blogger Keith Shaw launched a new video series, "The ABCs of IT." It stars I.T. Jinglehopper (but Keith says you can call him Neal for short) and his sidekick/intern Jackson. The two will explain the alphabet of IT terms and hopefully provide some entertainment along the way.

Ok, this is silly stuff. But for those of you who want an easy way to explain to your kids (and maybe your parents) what you do for a living, this series might be just the ticket, or the show, or the puppet show. After you kids watch it, you can tell them "Daddy/Mommy is a botnet fighter -- a little like a vampire slayer, only not as physically dangerous." If you want to follow the whole series, you can subscribe to the RSS feed here.

This week: B is for Botnet.
