Just when you thought the "Snakes on a Plane" phenomenon had lost some steam, along comes the coolest use of the Internet in a long time. As part of the movie's Web site, you can now send a personalized message from Samuel L. Jackson to anyone via e-mail or telephone (from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.). After filling out some details about the person you want to send the message to (name, job, hobbies, etc.), you can hear the message and then pick how you want to send it.
Trust me, when you hear the message, you'll be amazed at the technology, especially how it sounds like he's actually saying the names you type in (I'm gonna go try names like Jehosaphat or Martinique). Another coup in viral marketing and Internet technology.
I probably won't see the movie, but I may spend the rest of the day sending personal messages from Mr. Jackson to all my friends and family members.
