Another application acceleration appliance vendor if offering a replacement program for Cisco's retired ACE XML Gateway. Layer 7 Technologies of Vancouver announced its migration program shortly after Cisco announced it was pulling the plug on the XML gateway last August.
Cisco Connection wrote about Vordel's XML gateway replacement program for the Cisco ACE XML Gateway on Monday.
Layer 7 is offering a replacement XML gateway in three configurations: hardware, software and virtual. They include silicon accelerated hardware appliances, virtual appliances and software certified by VMware, and cloud versions for Amazon, Redhat KVM, Citrix C3, CA 3Tera and VMware vCloud.
The company is also offering enterprises a package of license discounts and policy migration services worth up to $250,000 until Jan. 1, 2011.
Layer 7 was founded in 2002. It is backed by Canadian and US investors.
