Tom Delay to Internet: Drop dead

By Adam Gaffin, NetworkWorld.com, 04/20/05

The Washington Post reports that House Majority Leader Tom Delay is upset with Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy over Kennedy's comments on the Terri Schiavo and juvenile-execution cases. Yeah, yeah, so what else is new? Delay is particularly upset that Kennedy uses the Internet:

... We've got Justice Kennedy writing decisions based upon international law, not the Constitution of the United States. That's just outrageous. And not only that, but he said in session that he does his own research on the Internet? That is just incredibly outrageous.

Forgive me for being one of them there Massachusetts Liberals (hey, what can I say? I live in Boston and, yes, I voted for John Kerry), but could somebody explain to me what's so incredibly outrageous about using the Internet for research?

pointing fingers is easy.
providing facts requires a staff.
using the internet means you have bypassed the 'staff' and can do the work on your own.
