Last week, I marveled at some of the queries entered into our search box - why would somebody be searching Network World Fusion for "foie gras" or "images of sexy guys" (especially the latter?).
Shawn Corbett writes in with an answer for at least some of those queries: a Windows desktop tool called Copernic. It's basically a meta-search tool that submits a query to zillions specialized search engines, then provides results on a single page. And Fusion is in the list (so yay us):
"I think it's a search engine in Copernic that is searching your site because this is my first time coming here to your site."
I've downloaded the basic version (only 90 search engines). Looks kind of interesting, seems to work pretty fast and has zillions of controls and shiny things for tinkering with, but to be honest, I'm still getting the information I need from Google, so I'm not sure I need another tool. But I'll play with it some more.
Back to CompendiumI utilize Copernic Pro and find ordinary search engines for queries useless by comparison. The web site referenced above would be a far less useful place to visit without Copernic. My web site "Focus On Character Associated Life" would be far less useful without Copernic Pro.
