Douglas Chick discusses why phishing works: Because users keep responding to the e-mails, no matter how many times you tell them not to:
"... Just two weeks ago I sent out an e-mail to all the users in my company telling them not to open any unknown or suspicious e-mail. My warning made the situation even worse and it just made them even more curious.
"'Didn't you read my e-mail about the virus that is propagating within our network and my warning not to open any attachments that you where not specifically expecting?
"'I did.' he replied. 'But I wanted to see what the document was.'"
