A few months ago, I linked to a report by a guy who'd built his own Segway-like scooter - at a fraction of the cost.
True genius, however, never rests, and the guy started wondering why he needed to waste money on two wheels. So he up and built a one-wheeled Segway-like thing: The Eunicycle.
"A vehicle with a single wheel is much smaller and lighter. It's easily carried with one hand when going up stairs or on public transportation."
Unlike a two-wheeled scooter, which almost anybody can learn to drive, the Eunicycle does take some practice:
"You don't want to be learning how to control such a vehicle at the same time as debugging it, so you really need to learn to ride a regular unicycle first."
