Network World Fusion 10/08/04

Dennis Kennedy prepares an annual set of technology predictions for the legal community (the 2005 one will be published in the American Bar Association's Law Practice Magazine in January). He writes that he has gotten depressed because the use of technology in even big law firms (actually, especially in big law firms) has progressed little since the last century:
Large firms are years behind the technology of their clients. If your law firm is concentrating on implementing faxing from laptops (faxes!! It's almost 2005!), how confident do you feel about their ability to handle basic security, records management and electronic discovery issues?
