I'm not sure who posted the above, but KATE and Sonork a programs from 2 separate companies, with KATE being made to be compatible with Sonork. Sonork is a powerful and secure enterprise-class instant messaging package, aimed at the SMB market, but suitable for large deployments as well. It provides a company or organization with the ability to run and manage their own private IM network, with multi-user conferencing, secure file-transfer (even when recipient is offline) and more.
