OpenCA PKI Development Project
by Marc Cohen
My company has been using OpenCA for around 2 years now. I'm our resedent PKI go-to-guy and have found the peer support, as well as the developers attention better then just about all of the big players in this field. Having spent 9 months researching and assesing the viability of the major players in this area, for our requirements, OpenCA was and has been a perfect fit. The latest updates to installation documentation make setup a breeze, although to get the system ready for your environment will require an above avaerage competance with your chosen Linux distribution. Make sure you use the exteneded DB options (I perfer MySQL) as the default DB can become troublesome when 1000's of certificates are being issued.
