Identity management
The process of managing user identity on a network. The goal is to let network managers know who is logged on, regardless of the end user's location or type of client being used, and to ensure that only those who have a right to use specific resources can access resources. Involves a cross section of directory and security products including password management and account provisioning. The latter automates creation and deletion of user accounts.
