IIOP (Internet Inter-ORB Protocol)

In CORBA, the protocol that lets both applications (such as Web browsers) and object request brokers communicate over a TCP/IP network. IIOP, written by the Object Management Group, maps the OMG's General Inter-ORB Protocol to TCP/IP.
