Michael Passe has more than thirteen years of industry experience supporting distributed computing and storage infrastructure. As Storage Architect for CareGroup/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, he leads efforts to create, plan and manage the ever growing storage footprint of BIDMC. Major projects include the design and replacement of the existing SAN architecture with Director Class Cisco MDS gear, implementation of multi-tiered storage architecture built on EMC hardware and the design and maintenance of a NetBackup infrastructure. Brad Noblet, a veteran computer industry executive, is Harvard University’s Chief Operating Officer for FAS IT where he is responsible for delivering an IT environment that serves over 30,000 constituents. Brad’s deep experience in executive management, product development/research and operations management make him uniquely qualified to advance Harvard’s IT infrastructure and services.
A 1982 graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington in Computer Science, Brad was that school's Manager of Data Communications, with responsibility for the institution's statewide data network. He then left for private industry, working in product development and management for a number of hardware manufacturers including Codex Corp., Ungermann-Bass, Tandem Computers and the Wellfleet Communications division of Bay Networks.
At Ungermann-Bass, Brad served as Director of Engineering then General Manager of several business units. He is credited with the creation and development of Ungermann Bass’ flagship product, Access/One, the world's first smart hub. He joined the Wellfleet Division of Bay Networks in 1995 as General Manager of that business unit delivering over $600 million in annual revenue. He is credited with creating forty new products during his tenure at Wellfleet that resulted in growing its revenue by $200M in less than two years.
Since leaving Bay Networks in 1998, Brad was involved in a number of start-up ventures focused on the converged voice, data and wireless sectors. In 2001, he joined Dartmouth College as its Director of Technical Services, then becoming its CIO. At Dartmouth, Brad was responsible for creating the College’s and the industry’s first enterprise class converged (voice, video and data) network in addition to advancing and managing its central IT operations.
He is regularly quoted in industry journals and the national press, being touted as an expert in networking and provides consultation for several Fortune 500 companies and Higher Education institutions.

Mr. Francis Lorion

Mr. Francis Lorion has been active in the information technology and healthcare industry for over 35 years. Since 1997 he has been Chief Information Officer at the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston (the oldest and one of the largest VNA’s in the country). Previously, Mr. Lorion was Director of Strategy & Planning for the Fallon Healthcare System in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role he was instrumental in developing the information technology strategies for the Worcester Medical Center. Before joining Fallon, Mr. Lorion held various positions over a 27-year career with IBM, where he specialized in the healthcare industry. He has a Masters degree in Computer Science.
